About the Department of Women The Department of Women of the Wisconsin First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction is a community of women united by faith and grounded in the power of prayer. Under the leadership of Mother Billie J. Thomas, Supervisor of Women, we are committed to strengthening women through prayer, fellowship, spiritual growth, and service. Together, we believe in the power of intercession, the strength of unity, and the faithfulness of God to answer prayer. United in prayer. Strengthened in faith. Empowered for purpose.
About the Department of Women United in Prayer. Empowered by God. The Department of Women of the Wisconsin First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Church of God in Christ, Inc., is a ministry committed to bringing women together through the power of prayer. Under the leadership of Mother Billie J. Thomas, Supervisor of Women, we believe that prayer is not simply something we do—it is the foundation of who we are and how we serve. Prayer connects us to God, strengthens our faith, equips us for ministry, and gives us the power to stand in the gap for our families, churches, communities, leaders, and generations to come. Our mission is to cultivate a praying generation of women who seek God, hear His voice, intercede for others, and believe Him for the impossible. Through prayer gatherings, worship, fellowship, teaching, and outreach, we create opportunities for women to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and discover the power available through a life of prayer. We believe there is power when women pray together. Prayer changes hearts, strengthens families, encourages the weary, opens doors, and positions us to witness the move of God. We are committed to carrying the legacy of prayer while raising up women of every generation who will continue to pray, believe, intercede, and stand on the Word of God. Our Prayer. Our Purpose. Our Power. Together, we will continue to seek God, stand in the gap, and believe that God still answers prayer.
Our Mission The mission of the Department of Women of the Wisconsin First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction is to provide teaching, training, fellowship, and ministry opportunities that foster the spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth of women of all generations. Grounded in the foundation and legacy established by our predecessors, we are committed to holiness, prayer, spiritual development, and service, while creating opportunities for women to discover, develop, and fulfill their God-given purpose. We believe in the power of prayer and are committed to building a praying sisterhood that seeks God, intercedes for others, strengthens families and communities, and stands in faith for the work of the Kingdom. Through our ministries and initiatives, we seek to encourage, equip, empower, and unite women to serve Christ and model His love in all that we do. United in Prayer. Rooted in Holiness. Empowered to Serve.
Our Vision The vision of the Department of Women of the Wisconsin First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction is to cultivate a praying, prepared, and purposeful generation of women who are rooted in holiness, grounded in the Word of God, and committed to serving the Kingdom. We envision women of every generation united in prayer, strengthened through fellowship, equipped through teaching and training, and empowered to fulfill their God-given purpose. Through the power of prayer, we seek to build stronger women, stronger families, stronger churches, and stronger communities—creating a legacy of faith that will be carried from one generation to the next. Our vision is to see women praying with power, walking in purpose, serving with passion, and impacting generations for Christ.
